In 2009, I self-published my first children’s book, “Pinky the Dreamer and Her Silver Jet.”

Pinky is a girl with a BIG dream to fly jet planes (that look a little more like propellers in her imagination!) and when she shares her story at school, a little boy challenges her dream by accusing her of being “a girl!” Pinky and her classmates learn a few important lessons about crossing the boundaries of gender stereotypes and the necessity of having BIG dreams.
